Travel to Twin Falls to start the trip. Arrive early on Friday night to get dinner at Elevation 486 and watch the sunset over the Snake River Canyon. The water will light up orange and the drinks on the patio will taste delightful! We recommend not skipping desert, this restaurant knows how to treat you!
Head to the Bearded Axe downtown and throw some axes! The perfect way to relieve stress is chucking sharp objects against walls, right? The business also allows customers to BYOB. Once you’ve mastered the art of throwing an axe, head to the hotel to get sleep for the adventure coming. Stay at the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott Twin Falls and enjoy a peaceful night in the modern rooms. Swim a few laps in the large pool, or take a soak in the hot tub.

The Towneplace provides a delicious breakfast, and is conveniently located near the rim of the canyon. Start your day by chasing waterfalls at Perrine Coulee Waterfall. Here, you can walk under and around the falls! Near the waterfall is Canyon Springs Golf Course which is a perfect location to golf with a view. The Perrine Bridge towers over the river nearby, and various waterfalls sprinkle along the walls for miles.
Visit Shoshone Falls before heading to Burley for the afternoon. The Niagara of the West is Twin Falls’ most epic waterfall. Thats saying a lot considering there are more than 30 waterfalls just in town! The 212 foot waterfall rages down beautiful cliff walls, and the canyon walls provide the most beautiful views in any direction!
Head to Burley next! Drive out of town over the Hansen Bridge for one last view of one of the the steepest parts of the Snake River Canyon. Burley is about a 40 minute drive away from Twin Falls. Have lunch at Kassiana to try locally sourced food. The farm to table option is too great to pass up, as well as their olive oil tasting bar! Try pasta, pizza, sandwiches and other delicious plates to feel fueled for more adventure!
Rent some kayaks at Idaho Water Sports to enjoy an evening on the river. Enjoy views of the Albion Mountains located to the south. Experience another one of Southern Idaho’s golf courses by playing at the River’s Edge Golf Course. The course is 18 holes and located next to the Snake River
Enjoy dinner next to the river at Morey’s Steakhouse. The lovely new patio has a perfect view of the twinkling water under the mountains. Morey’s is known for having the best steak on the Snake! Stay at the Best Western Plus Burley Inn Convention Center and enjoy their endless amenities including a pool, gym, sports bar, and more.

Head to the mountains for you last day in Southern Idaho! Drive through Albion and Declo to get to Lake Cleveland, a gorgeous alpine lake! Bring the rented kayaks up to paddle around in the clear blue water, or strap up a hammock to sit in peace with nature. There are many hiking paths all around the lake.
The peak above Lake Cleveland is Mt. Harrison. Continue driving up the mountain to enjoy the scenery. For most of the summer the mountains are covered in flowers! Purple Lupins, red Indian paintbrush, yellow Sunflowers, and white Anemone, are sprinkled all around. Visit other hikes on the mountain such as Skyline Trail located at Twin Lakes Campground. This hike is 27 miles, but hiking in just a half mile will show some of the most beautiful views in Southern Idaho.
Make your way down the mountain and back to Burley for dinner. Stop at Mads Merc and Soda Fountain in Albion to get homemade ice cream and other treats! Get some pie to take back for the night, or bags of candy from the multitude of options they have. Any sweet tooth can be solved at Mad Merc!
End your weekend by taking a scenic cruise on the Snake River. The Snake River Queen is an open-air, old-fashioned paddlewheel boat. The boat is open for dinner, where you can dine right on the river. Enjoy a perfectly cooked steak while cruising the Snake River and reminisce on the perfect weekend trip to Southern Idaho.
