My Review of Cascade Dome
When visiting Cascade; I want an escape in the forest. Preferably, peacefully sipping my tea by the fire while watching the sun go down. For that reason, I love a stay at Cascade Dome; a unique Airbnb that is an off-grid glamping dome.
The dome looks out at the forest and is secluded. It is also a lovely photoshoot opportunity location! It is the perfect place to stay with your partner, or a close friend/relative. The space is small and only accommodates two people. I give Cascade Dome a five star rating! (in full consideration that this is an off-grid experience!) Keep reading to hear all about what that exactly means.

Cascade is about 1.5 hours north of Boise, Idaho, the dome is about 20 minutes outside of Cascade up a dirt road. The dome is located in the deep forest near Lake Cascade. The whole area is peaceful and perfect for a romantic getaway!
Cascade Dome is a glamping experience! Be sure you are prepared for your trip! *There is no service at Cascade Dome.*
Cascade Dome in Idaho
There is no running water at Cascade Dome. This is an off grid experience! Bring at least a gallon of water for every day you’ll be there. There is a power bank so you can charge your phone, this also will turn the light on inside.

AMENITIES in cascade dome
There is a camp stove to prepare meals, hot chocolate mix with mugs, coffee & coffee maker, and an extremely comfy bed. The bed is fully made with really soft sheets and warm thick blankets for cold nights. There is also a side table and 2 chairs. There is no fridge so bring your own cooler with food!
Inside the dome there is a small fireplace to keep warm, and outside a larger one for a fire. The sauna is located just a quick walk up stairs from the dome. It is wood burning sauna that sits 2-4 people comfortably. I would consider this one of the most luxury glamping experiences in Idaho.
There is a clean and nice smelling porta-potty on the property! The restroom is a walk up about 100 stairs from the dome. The porta-potty is located next to where your car will be parked.

What to do at Cascade dome? (Idaho Hot Springs nearby!)
Staying at Cascade dome is all about enjoying the simple tasks of life. Keeping the fire place going, lighting the sauna for a session, preparing food, playing some cards, etc.
Trail Creek Hot Springs
The hot spring that is nearby is called Trail Creek Hot Springs. Trail Creek is about a 30 minute drive from Cascade Dome. This Idaho hot spring can be busy so I recommend going early, or on a weekday if possible. Every time I have gone it’s been a Saturday and busy, but I still enjoy it every time! There are not restrooms or changing rooms at Trail Creek Hot Springs. You are also required to pick up all of your garbage while visiting. LEAVE NO TRACE.

Gold Fork Hot Springs
Gold Fork Hot Springs are also about 30 minutes away and are amazing. They are locally owned and commercialized, making the pools lovely. The bottom of one even has white sand! Idaho hot springs are plentiful in this area. It does cost money to hot spring at Gold Fork Hot Springs in Donnelly, Idaho. There are changing rooms and rest rooms at Gold Fork Hot Springs.
It is always a good time staying at Cascade Dome! I partnered with the Airbnb’s owner both times I have stayed, so these Glamping Dome stays have all been gifted! The link to book Cascade Dome is an affiliate link, and your click/booking helps me writing more blogs like this!
