Getting outdoors and going on adventures has been my mission this year. One way to make sure I am taking care of my feet and the planet while doing so is by wearing comfortable, sustainable shoes. Your hikes never have to slow down when your feet are supported in Vessi!
Let’s start with one of my favorite spring activities: chasing waterfalls in my VessiS.

Twin Falls, Idaho Waterfalls to Find in Style
Twin Falls is located two hours east of Boise, Idaho. The town itself is mostly flat and unassuming, but there is a giant canyon that cuts through that is begging you to come discover the hidden gems within. Not without proper footwear, though. The Snake River Canyon is rugged, wet, and the plants can be wild.I prefer to wear my Uptown Chelsea Boots (featured in images above & below) when hiking the canyon. I wear my Uptown Chelsea Vessi Boots to protect my ankles from poison ivy and keep my feet dry while hiking through puddles.
Shoshone Falls & Canyon Rim Trail
Twin Falls has coined the name the City of Waterfalls due to the plethora of falls you can see. Shoshone Falls is the most famous! Standing at 212 feet high, this powerful waterfall flows heaviest in the springtime. I recommend wearing Vessi shoes to explore because although you don’t have to walk far, the best views are a bit of a walk up the Canyon Rim Trail. Even walking down to the platform is on a steep, wet staircase, so come prepared with good boots. I am always happy to have 100% waterproof Vessi boots, because Shoshone Falls in Spring season means you’re leaving that park quite wet from all the waterfall spray!
Perrine Coulee
A free waterfall to visit (and my personal favorite,) is Perrine Coulee. Perrine Coulee falls about 100 feet, and is another one that you will get wet visiting! Walk under and behind the waterfall for really neat photos. The reason I always wear my Vessi shoes while chasing waterfalls is because they are 100% waterproof! I never really mind getting sprayed by water because I know my feet will stay dry in my Vessi’s.

Featuring an everyday casual court sneaker with a super lightweight cushioning midsole: Women’s Weekend Sneaker. The gold standard in waterproof comfort, and a nice wide toe. These shoes fit wide and cozy. To me they are the perfect slip on sneaker to wear out and about, or you can tie them tighter and go for a little forest run. These sneakers are so comfy and cute.
Cascade is a town about 1.5 hours north of Boise and sits right next to Lake Cascade. All around the lake is a dense Idaho forest filled with beautiful Ponderosa Pine Trees. I love to go up to Cascade to go glamping! The cutest property is called Cascade Dome, and I had to do a photoshoot out in the pines with my favorite Vessi shoes on!
While in Cascade, you have to visit an Idaho Hot Spring! It is so important to wear good shoes when finding the hot springs because there can be shattered glass, sharp rocks or sometimes you have to cross through water. Don’t forget the Vessi’s! I hiked into Trail Creek Hot Springs with my Vessi Uptown Chelsea boots.
Trail Creek is a short but steep trail that leads to a poorly constructed ladder. Be careful when visiting, and remember to pack everything out you take down with you. I was so thankful to have the boots because they prevented me from sliding down too fast. I had great grip for the hike down, as well as for walking across the ladder. I actually decided to not wear socks, so when we were done soaking barefoot in the hot springs I just dried my feet off, slipped on the boots that feel great on the inside, and hiked right back up with no issues (or blisters!)
