This could be confusing, but I will clear it up quickly.
There is a waterfall called Twin Falls in Idaho. Above Twin Falls is a beautiful place to paddle. The waterfall that named the city, Twin Falls, has a boat launch where you can paddle and enjoy the stunning canyon walls. So to summarize: Twin Falls Park above Twin Falls Waterfall is located in Twin Falls, Idaho!

Where is Twin Falls Park?
If you are driving from Twin Falls (the city,) follow Falls Avenue east for a few miles. You will pass by a sign that shows directions to Shoshone Falls. A couple miles later you will see a sign directing you to turn north towards Twin Falls Dam. Follow this, then turn right at the fork (east to the park.)
Unfortunately, this waterfall is totally ruined by a dam! But above the waterfall there is a magical place. Twin Falls Park is pretty unassuming, but drive past it and park as close to the water as you can (there are vehicle parking spots as well as boat trailer parking.)
Entering the Water
From here you can unload your kayak or paddle board. I recommend just using the grassy area to be away from any potential boats. This is closer to your car than the boat launch. If you do need a dock assistance getting into your kayak you are more than welcome to use part of the dock which is plenty big! Remember to leave no trace. Pick up all trash you may have with you. Let’s keep Idaho beautiful!

How to find the magical Waterfall area
From Twin Falls Park put in, you’ll kayak east around a river bend to get away from the dam area. Kayak as far up (heading east) on the river as you can until you run into rock formations within the water. You will have passed a couple waterfalls already, and will begin to see the rocks under water just feet below your kayak. Be careful! Depending on water flows they can be exposed more or less. Just always be aware of your surroundings. I prefer not to swim in rivers like this because the undercurrents are unknown in tight, potentially rushing, river flows.
Here you can place your kayak on dry rock and hike around. The specific magical waterfall pictured above is right where the rocks begin!
BE SAFE!!! Please don’t swim. Instead, hike along side the south side of the river and find blue(ish) water! There is an aquifer coming out of the sides of the canyon. It is beautiful and there are even more waterfalls! The water isn’t more than waist deep and only some at that, but it is safer and cleaner.
Thanks for reading and just another reminder to leave no trace!
Here is a fun little TikTok I made on this stunning place! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNvFxTRn/
